Last night McCain finally realized that his most likely opponent in November will be Barack Obama. He then plagiarized Hillary by suggesting that "Americans are not deceived by an eloquent but empty call for change". It's the words thing again. But he also dredged up an old attack point that has been essentially rendered meaningless by his former tormentor turned mentor - George W. Bush. Either McCain is an even bigger idiot than we thought or he's so completely out of touch that he might lose to a four-year old in the election debates.
From McCain's speech last night.
Our purpose is to keep this blessed country free, safe, prosperous and proud.
Will the next president have the experience? Or will he risk the confused leadership of an inexperienced candidate who once suggested bombing our ally, Pakistan...
Talk about confused leadership. We already bombed Pakistan and very recently. From the MSNBC web site comes this story.
In the predawn hours of Jan. 29, a CIA Predator aircraft flew in a slow arc above the Pakistani town of Mir Ali. The Drone's operator, relying on information secretly passed to the CIA by local informants, clicked a computer mouse and sent the first of two Hellfire missiles hurtling toward a cluster of mud-brick buildings a few miles from the town center.
The missiles killed Abu Laith al-Libi, a senior al-Qaeda commander...

Having requested the Pakistani government's official permission for such strikes on previous occasions, only to be put off or turned down, this time the U.S. spy agency did not seek approval.
It seems to me that Obama has been suggesting this course of action all along. Apparently the Bush administration has been listening, even if McCain hasn't. McCain must disagree with the "confused leadership" shown by the Bush administration in taking this action. More likely, McCain himself is the one confused and that doesn't bode well for the Republicans in November.
The obligatory poll has been added with what I believe are the only possible answers.
